Anyone aged between 25 and 75 who doesn’t already have a diagnosis of cardiovascular disease or who is currently under the care of a specialist for a heart condition, can have a screening.
FAQs
We understand you may have questions relating to our screenings, here are some of the most frequently asked questions.
When you book, we ask about your medical history and at present, this can’t be captured online.
Can I have a screening if I have a heart condition?
That depends on what the heart condition is. This will be discussed with you when you make your appointment.
I’ve put on some weight since my last screening. Will I get ‘told off’?
Absolutely not! There are many reasons why you may have gained weight. We are here to help you identify ways to reduce all of your cardiovascular risks.
Do I need to do anything to prepare for a screening?
We advise not to undertake rigorous exercise or have caffeine 30 minutes before your appointment, to wear loose comfortable clothing as you will need to remove your top for your ECG, don’t wear stockings or tights, and don’t use body lotion or moisturiser.
